In Memory Of A Storyteller

Yasmin Ahmad is probably one of the most gifted storytellers that has ever graced our country. With her award winning advertisments, and movies both in the local and international scene, it’s hard to forget such a great person. Though, I’ve never worked with her before, but I am actually privileged to have actually hear her speak on her life experiences during an event back in June.
This is a video of her giving her talk on “Charisma”, which basically talks about her experiences with people needing charisma to strive in the film industry to be different from the rest. Sorry for the absolutely poor video quality, as I was only using my mobile phone to record this. Nevertheless, do hope you get to hear the audio and appreciate the video.
I was out partying in KL when I heard of her departure. My friends and I were stunned and speechless, especially my friends who are in the production and film industry. We made a toast in her honor and for a very brief moment…there was silence. Yasmin, thank you for your stories and inspirations…may you R.I.P.
