Megatron Found in Fridge
by DeM0NiCk on February 6, 2009, under Tidbits
Here at the office, we have an ancient fridge. A fridge that still clogs up with ice so bad, that there isn’t any room left for storage. Yesterday, we decided to defrost the freezer and at the same time to clear out stuff that are still there for the longest time (yes…it can be a little gross considering some expired food stuff that you find in there), and whilst we were defrosting the freezer…look at what we found…

It reads: “For 10,000 Years Megatron was under the deep ice…FREEDOM!!!” The line below that says: “I can’t feel my foot!”
And you know what? This is still considered a typical day at the office. Hehe…
Chowtut Nights
by DeM0NiCk on December 13, 2008, under Parties
The term "Chowtut" is frequently used amongst my group of drinking buddies from work. It simply means an overdose or the state of becoming super high on a certain substance. For example, you can say "That fella got really super chowtut yesterday!" which simply means he was fucking high yesterday. The substance can be of any sort…alcohol, drugs, sex, food…the list goes on!
Having said that, during the pass week, my friends and I had 2 chowtut sessions. The first was last Saturday night at Tao Modesto’s at Plaza TTDI. You see, it’s been a long while since we had one of these big drinking sessions. Actually, it was ever since that my colleague Jek had twins. Last Saturday was one of the few "passport" moments for him where he can get to go out drinking with us so we just have to utilize the moment. That night, we started off with 2 bottles of whiskey and ended up doing shots of different sorts. The night started off quiet as there were only a couple of us there at first. Then, as more people came, and the alcohol began to flow…things became more fun!

To be honest, after the drinking session, we went for supper at a nearby mamak but what happen after that was a total blur to both Jek and I. We didn’t really remember much after that and I for one didn’t know how I got home. Sound really scary actually. It’s as though we were teleported back to our respective houses.

Then last Wednesday night, Jek wanted to clear his old wines and liquor to make way for a new stash which he bought recently. If you ask me, it’s a darn good excuse for drinking. LOL. This time, I decided to play host and get people to come by my condo to wreck havoc. Again we started off slow with wines and then moved to whiskey. I whipped out a bottle of tequila from my stash and it was hit! I decided to down everyone with tequila shots. It’s a new bottle mind you and by the night is done, there was only 1/4 of it left…and all these only through shots and no mixers! Imagine that!

chowtut??

Anyway, it was a blast and I bet everyone had fun. No one really got chowtut that night actually, but Rabin was talking a lot of cock and we all were laughing non stop till wee hours in the morning.

New Zealand Natural Turns 5
by DeM0NiCk on November 25, 2008, under Parties
Last Tuesday, New Zealand Natural celebrated their 5th year in Malaysia. Now with 12 outlets in total, it seems they only can become bigger in years to come. Being their interactive agency, we were invited to attend their anniversary celebration held at the Waterfront of Desa Parkcity. There was a jazz band, celebrities, good food…and of course UNLIMITED ICE CREAM!
There were games and prizes to be won as well. Integricity seemed to "clean house" when it came to the question and answer sessions (we should right? Since we did their stuff). Either that or no one really wanted to participate. There was also a treasure hunt to find hidden ice cream cups, a "guess the flavor" competition, as well as a New Zealand Haka war dance competition.

There was quite a turn out considering it was a work day..

Just looking at the pictures above, you can tell we had a good time. Who knew that having 3 scoops of ice-cream and finger food could last me till dinner time. =)
Friday Night @ Waikiki Too
by DeM0NiCk on August 19, 2008, under Parties
Anyway, last Friday, we had a drinking session. Why? well…Jek said he was "thirsty" and it was suppose to be for 2 other colleague’s birthday celebration (ever the more reason to drink right?). The drinking session almost didn’t take place at all as Jek, the host himself, had a back strain that day and could hardly walk, and Rabin on the other hand was really tired after taking some medication. I was already about to make other plans for that night when suddenly, I was roped in an online chat which had everyone asking about the night’s plan….and who initiated the chat?…why Jek himself of course…it seems alcohol now is the official cure of all physical and emotional pains as well eh? So we then assembled a drinking crew for the night, which consists of colleagues, friends and clients. We had not 1, not 2, but F-O-U-R bottles of Dewar’s that night. What happened after that? Well…suprisingly, there weren’t any major casualties….but there were certainly some entertaining "moments" and people after that…hehehe
These are some shots from that night:

Everyone say "CHEEEEZZEEE!!!"

Corporate Photo Shoot in Penang
by DeM0NiCk on July 26, 2008, under Travels
I just got back from Penang last night. My Senior Art Director and I, along with 2 photographers were there for a corporate photo shoot for a client which requires pictures to be featured on their company’s website and also corporate brochures. Well, I must say, the trip was a successful one and we did have fun throughout the whole 3 day ordeal. We did not have time to go binge eating though since we were on a really tight working schedule.
We touched down on Wednesday evening and proceeded with checking in to our suite. We then proceeded to recce our shoot location, followed by dinner. We had loads to eat (duh!..it’s Penang!) from the famous Oyster Omelette to Penang Rojak. Sorry I won’t be showing any food pics that we ate because I feel it wasn’t really the highlight of the trip. After dinner, we went back to our suite, and briefed the photographers on what is to be done for the next day.

The next day starts with us waking up around 630AM as we had to meet the client downstairs for breakfast at 7AM. After breakfast, we went to the shoot site and started setting up before the talents came in. Now, we didn’t have professional talents to work with. We used talents and background of all their staff since it was for their corporate collaterals anyway. I must say, most their staff had some form of hidden talent. A few were quite photogenic and looked like they done photo shoots before as they do not seem shy in front of the camera.

Oh, checkout the view from this office. Don’t you wish your office view were like this?
The day ended with us going for happy hour drinking with the client and followed by a scrumptious seafood dinner which is like a freaking 40 minutes drive from where we were, but no doubt the seafood dinner was absolutely fulfilling. By the way, the place is called Teluk Kumbar in case you want to go…I highly recommend it.
Happy hour drinking with the client
After dinner I met up with a high school friend of mine who took me out for drinks and a short tour of the “happening” areas of Penang. It’s been good seeing her again and catching up. By the time we finished, it was already 230AM….and I have to wake up at 630AM! Gahh!!
The next day, the photo shoot was of more casual in orientation. All staff were told to come in casual clothing which includes sun dresses, shorts and bikinis (no I’m just kidding…but how I wished).

We wrapped up around 430PM as we had a 640PM flight to catch back to KL. I must say, the whole photo shoot was all smooth sailing and quite an experience. My only disapointment with the trip is that I couldn’t stay longer as the tickets were arranged and paid for by the client. Oh well, I guess now I have reasons to go back to Penang again ;)
NOTE: There are actually more pictures of us taken together with the “talents” which might not be too appropriate to be posted. I shall just leave it to your imagination for those shots then. ;)
