HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!! It’s a brand spanking new year and 2010 in my view will be (I hope) an awesome year! Yes, for several reasons, I’m really optimistic about this year. 2010 will be themed “Rebuilding” for me. Rebuilding – career, friendships and relationships. I have several new year’s resolution which I shall not mentioned because I feel the moment you tell someone or let anyone know what it is, you’re under pressure to fulfill it. I do not want that! As we speak, I have already received some awesome news which already fulfilled one of my new year’s resolution. I’ll tell everyone about it when things are more certain.

Now for some updates. First up, I want to wish my sis Zara “Happy Birthday!” Her birthday falls on New Year’s Eve every year, therefore most people are usually too busy to celebrate it with her. This year, being her big 3-0, her best friend Rozell, schemed a surprise for her on the eve of her birthday in Mezze in Medan Damansara…and boy was she surprised! You should see the expression on her face when she came in the restaurant hoping to have a quiet dinner with just her boyfriend Harng, who just came from Aussie, and her best friend, when we all jump out of our hiding spots to surprise her. It really was an unforgettable moment.

Up next, NYE. Now then, it’s almost an annual affair that I celebrate New Year’s Eve with a party. This year (well, last year to be more exact) we rented a hotel suite in Ritz-Carlton Residences, Kuala Lumpur. All I got to say is the place was FREAKIN’ HUGE! It has 3 bedrooms with walking wardrobe in the master bedroom, a dining, kitchen, living room and study/library. According to the website, its about 2,362 square feet.  The place can accommodate 30-40 people easily!

If you’re wondering, NYE this time round was a very “civilized” affair. There were surprisingly no casualties but some of us including myself stayed over till the next morning. What a great party it has been, and what a way to usher in the new year. Looking forward ahead for more better things to come! :)

This girl by the window, one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen. Seeing her from a distance, listening to music, seeing her pouty lips mumbling the lyrics, and grooving ever so gently to the beats hoping others won’t notice. I stared up at her for awhile, and when she noticed she gave a little smile. Who is she? I will never know. For she went away after I took this picture. I regretted not going up to her when I had the chance. Oh well, it was good while it lasted…for what its worth..she did make my day.

Yes…the sky is falling down..either that or you’re going to strike it big with a lottery ticket today. The impossible has just happened..

I JUST BOUGHT BOOKS!

Not 1, not 2…but 5! You must think that I am some kind of a whack job or something right? Well honestly, if you know me…I NEVER buy books. Reading a book has never seemed to interest me since I was young. I’ve been doing most of my reading on the internet, and if you ask me to read a Harry Potter book or any novel for that matter…I rather go hang myself because my eyes will get all tired…and I will fall asleep within the first few pages. I kid you not!

So why start now?…well…remember I told you I needed to do something different a few post back?…well..one thing I’m going to try is reading. I don’t think I can just read any novel or book, but I think the book must be of a specific topic or something that interests me rather than reading a story and trying to visualize what’s going on. I like to see visuals..that’s why I’m more likely to read a magazine or the newspapers as oppose to reading a book. So, you must be wondering what books that I got right?…well..I got these..

Now if you noticed, these are books are on marketing, social technologies, economy and self improvement. I know, it’s boring to some people because it’s not your typical lovey dovey story or fantasy kind of books…but I am interested in these topics. My thinking is this: maybe if I try reading something that I’m interested in…I might break my personal record of actually finishing a chapter or two before falling asleep. Having said that…let’s see how long this “phase” will last. At the mean time…I’ll turn into “The Beast” these few weeks.

I have neglect blogging of late, simply because I have no idea of anything interesting to blog about. That’s the main problem. I feel everything these days are such a routine and honestly I’m getting a bit frustrated and bored. Even this post is titled “The Untitled Post” because I have no idea what to call it! GAH!

Well, obviously I’m not just going to sit here and sulk about it. I have several things that I already plan to do in the next coming months, just hope things go according to plan. The long weekend break couldn’t have came on a better time as I can get to recollect my thoughts and rest my brain. If all goes well there might be some drastic changes too but I hope it’s for the better *crossing fingers*.
