Not So Green Afterall
by DeM0NiCk on May 5, 2010, under Tidbits

OMG! It has been more than a month since my last post….again and again I have to keep apologizing to my readers that it has become a habit…a very bad one indeed!
Not to worry though, I’m just extremely busy with work and by extremely busy I really mean that. Things are so fast paced here I sometimes feel I can’t keep up and lost at the same time. There really is so much to do and so little time that I sometimes have to resort to skipping lunches or just having quick snacks in between as I have deadlines to meet and manage. By the time the day is over, I’m usually so tired to think of anything else…let alone blog!
Some people say it’s normal here, but I already know what to expect even before working at this new place. The thing is, I’m relatively new in this industry, and managing a super fast paced account and super demanding clients while trying to learn more about how things work can really take a toll on someone. Also don’t forget, I’m responsible for my team and everything else. Not that I’m complaining, it’s just that it’s really different from what I use to do for the past 5 years or so.
Am I really cut out for this? Well, it’s still too early to say, but I’m not giving up just yet. It’s only been 3+ months that I’ve been here. In terms of learning and career, it’s definitely there. Let’s see how long more I can take this kind of lifestyle.
They say “the grass is always greener on the other side”….well I beg to differ. Some things are, some things are not for now. I wouldn’t say it’s a stroll in the park. But let’s just wait and see what happens next. Until then, I’ll will be taking one day at a time. :)
Blogging Less
by DeM0NiCk on December 12, 2009, under Tidbits
I’m sure most of you have noticed I have been blogging a little less these few months. Less as compared to the previous months at least. Well, I’m ok but just a little frustrated and disappointed in recent months because of certain things that happened that I shall not mentioned here.
I used to rant a lot here in the past, but being active in the social media scene and also working in a place where everyone is well connected is also part of the reason why I’m not venting my issues here online…just to not get any parties hurt or embarrassed. I guess that is one down side of social media and blogs. You can’t really say things you want to say because it is being made public…especially if its some rants about friends, work or even clients. I know this blog is a personal space of mine, and I have every right to say whatever I want. Well true…but like I said, no use putting up something that might hurt the other party. I hope things will be settled and clarified soon…but until then..I will be blogging a little less and maintaining a low profile on my thoughts. :)
The “Evil” Sales Lady
by DeM0NiCk on November 29, 2009, under Tidbits
I swear it’s true! I was at Pavilion on Saturday together with Sylvia. She was back over the long weekend and wanted to get some cosmetics at MAC. Now, all she wanted to get was a blusher as she was running out of it. It was Sylvia’s first purchase ever at MAC, so she didn’t know which product works best for her. The sales lady came up to her and recommended her the blusher that suits her best. Now at this point, she was already contented on only purchasing the blusher, but then the sales lady told her to try other products that works best with the recommended blusher. Of course at first Sylvia resisted, but the sales lady did a really good job at convincing her (and me as I was standing beside her) to see the difference with and without the other supplementary products.
In the end, instead of just a blusher, she bought a tube of liquid foundation and also a bottle of loose powder. The sales lady was kind enough to give her some sample products to try (in hopes to get my friend to come back). Total damage? About RM260! I’m so glad I don’t use makeup.
Oh My Dear Candice…
by DeM0NiCk on December 29, 2008, under Tidbits
It happened just so sudden. I wasn’t prepared for it. It was a rainy night, and I was traveling back with her after a night out with some friends when it happened. She began to act weirdly, as though she is trying to tell me something. I just ignored and carried on. She reacted even more violently….choking, shaking, gasping for air…as though it was a sign that her time is up. Yet I pushed her to go even further, thinking that she was just being emotional and will come to her senses soon. Then it happened…the next day…she didn’t respond to me calling. There wasn’t a sound…not even a whisper. Is she dead?! I panicked and called for help. A friend came over to help me try “resurrect” her but to no avail. I called for the professionals and they came and took her away in hopes of reviving her. I pray that she will be well and that everything will be ok again…and that it doesn’t cost me a bomb to fix my car!
Bet You Haven’t Seen This

When living in Malaysia, it’s well known that you have to brace yourself for “surprises” when using public toilets. But just when you thought you’ve seen everything possible in these toilet, I bet you haven’t seen this…
Someone (or something!) was either washing their vegetables here or some guy puked this out! Whatever it is…its FUCKING GROSS! Sigh! Some people are just so inconsiderate and uncivilized.
