Saturday Night Home Invasion
by DeM0NiCk on March 23, 2009, under Parties
Last Saturday night, I was about to leave my place to meet up some friends for drinks when suddenly, Evie (whom I’m suppose to meet) called. She told me that the place that we’re going is rather packed and they couldn’t get a place to sit. So she told me due to that, there is a change of venue…they decided to bring the drinks to my place instead! Brilliant idea…they brought the mixers as well as McDonald’s nuggets and fries as well.

It’s been a long while since I met these bunch of clowns. We talked crap, watched PORN (yes! you heard right, it was one of the girl’s idea actually I swear!)…make asses out of ourselves and just reminiscing old times during our school days. After drinks, it was supper at the Seapark mamak, one of our old meeting places. What a great way to spend a Saturday night don’t you think?

Chowtut Nights
by DeM0NiCk on December 13, 2008, under Parties
The term "Chowtut" is frequently used amongst my group of drinking buddies from work. It simply means an overdose or the state of becoming super high on a certain substance. For example, you can say "That fella got really super chowtut yesterday!" which simply means he was fucking high yesterday. The substance can be of any sort…alcohol, drugs, sex, food…the list goes on!
Having said that, during the pass week, my friends and I had 2 chowtut sessions. The first was last Saturday night at Tao Modesto’s at Plaza TTDI. You see, it’s been a long while since we had one of these big drinking sessions. Actually, it was ever since that my colleague Jek had twins. Last Saturday was one of the few "passport" moments for him where he can get to go out drinking with us so we just have to utilize the moment. That night, we started off with 2 bottles of whiskey and ended up doing shots of different sorts. The night started off quiet as there were only a couple of us there at first. Then, as more people came, and the alcohol began to flow…things became more fun!

To be honest, after the drinking session, we went for supper at a nearby mamak but what happen after that was a total blur to both Jek and I. We didn’t really remember much after that and I for one didn’t know how I got home. Sound really scary actually. It’s as though we were teleported back to our respective houses.

Then last Wednesday night, Jek wanted to clear his old wines and liquor to make way for a new stash which he bought recently. If you ask me, it’s a darn good excuse for drinking. LOL. This time, I decided to play host and get people to come by my condo to wreck havoc. Again we started off slow with wines and then moved to whiskey. I whipped out a bottle of tequila from my stash and it was hit! I decided to down everyone with tequila shots. It’s a new bottle mind you and by the night is done, there was only 1/4 of it left…and all these only through shots and no mixers! Imagine that!

chowtut??

Anyway, it was a blast and I bet everyone had fun. No one really got chowtut that night actually, but Rabin was talking a lot of cock and we all were laughing non stop till wee hours in the morning.
Until then…click here to view more pictures from that night.
My New Home Away From Home
by DeM0NiCk on July 14, 2008, under Tidbits
This is it. A glance of my new home with furniture. In case you’re wondering, no…I have not officially move in yet due to certain reasons….and yes…there will definitely be a house warming party soon. You guys just can’t wait to get your hands on the bar right? But anyway, I’ve been spending a lot of time there now, just practically to chill out and get use to the place. I have already spend the night there during my weekends. For now, I’m just slowly moving in and moving stuff there every weekend. My desktop PC is still not there yet as there isn’t any internet connection there for now because I’m still on the waiting list (part of the reason why I have not move in yet…I can’t live without my internet! =P). Besides, I don’t even have a table for my desktop yet. Right now, the place is great for friends to come by to have drinks and to just chill.

The Meeting, The Proposal & The Wedding
by DeM0NiCk on June 2, 2008, under Tidbits
My weekends just seem to be so packed and precious that every weekend seems to just fly right by. Honestly, I didn’t get enough rest this weekend which is why dread going back to the office today. Anyway, lots of things happend during the weekend…met someone new…got a proposal…and then a wedding ;)
The Meeting
Yes…I met someone new over the weekend! No no…it’s not what you think…hahaha! Gotcha! But seriously…I was out drinking with Olivia and Byron on Saturday night and met a “long lost cousin”, Regina. It was just so coincidental that the 3 of us sitting at the same table with same surnames but none of us are related to each other. When I met Regina, we clicked instantly. I guess it’s because we have a lot of friends in common, and conversation topics from then on were never a bore.

The Proposal
I finally got a proposal for my kitchen layout. I got the contractor to sketch out what I wanted, then chose the materials and colors to go along with it. You see, I can’t afford those really expensive kitchen systems, so I had to find the next best alternative which is to custom make my kitchen and the one of a kind bar. Of course if it’s cheap, naturally the proposal is….well…cheap! This chinese speaking contractor, just sketched out the plans on a year planner and not even on an A4 sheet. No kidding! But I must say I trust him, as he seems honest to what I can and cannot do. Besides, he was recommended by a friend to which he was her contractor for her kitchen as well.

The “el-cheapo” kitchen + bar proposal….not bad right?
The Wedding
My high school classmate Vivienne, got married on Sunday at Cyberview Lodge & Spa Resort at Cyberjaya. It was a garden wedding and I must say, it was one of the best weddings I’ve ever attended. It’s not because every other wedding is boring, but this wedding paid a lot of attention to details, like decorations, lights, and even the theme. It was themed in such that before the dinner, you would have to register upon entering the dinner hall to which you would be given a “boarding pass” of your destination. Each table is named after a destination, and you get to stamp (like those found on your passport with different shapes) and give your well wishes on a large piece of paper on the counter. Each “destination” represents a different country or city that the couple visited during their courtship and each table have photo booklet and story taken from those destinations. There were at least 40 tables, so you can imagine how many countries/cities she have been to…afterall, she was a former air hostess with Singapore Airlines. Here are some shots taken from the wedding.
